Ultralight Tent for Two – Illusion Duo Ultralight Tent Liteway

The Illusion Duo Ultralight Silpoly Tent is the result of years of design and testing. Made in Ukraine, this tent combines the best features of a tarp and a traditional tent, resulting in a high-quality, single-wall shelter for two people. Unlike other Liteway tarp-tents, this model features a fixed floating floor and two entrances. The floating floor means there is a strip of mosquito netting between the waterproof groundsheet and the outer canopy, improving ventilation and reducing condensation. The tent has a pyramid-style shape and can be pitched using two trekking poles or tent poles.

Weight and Dimensions

The Liteway Illusion Duo weighs approximately 900 g including guylines and stuff sack. The interior is comfortably sized for two people. Despite the sloped sidewalls typical of pyramid tents, it fits sleeping pads up to 230 cm in length.

Entrances with Mesh

The tent has two mesh doors to keep insects out. Each entrance is protected by a 55 cm deep vestibule, covered by the outer canopy. The doors are equipped with YKK #3 AquaGuard water-repellent zippers.

Ventilation – Reducing Condensation

There are two ventilation windows on the sides of the tent. These stay open with the help of guylines and support. The mesh doors and floating floor also contribute to airflow.

Floating Floor – Adjustable Ventilation

The single-wall design connects the canopy and floor with a mosquito net strip. In poor weather, you can shorten the trekking poles to lower the canopy closer to the ground, reducing airflow and increasing protection.
⚠️ Always leave the front or rear edge of the tent slightly off the ground to allow air to enter through the mesh doors.
We recommend using a Tyvek or Polycro groundsheet to protect the floor.

This floating floor design is similar to that of the Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo.

Pole Setup

The Illusion Duo can be pitched with two trekking poles or tent poles, each at least 130 cm in length.
This model does not require an A-frame connector.

Stakes Required

The manufacturer recommends using at least 6 stakes for setup (not included). For windy conditions and full guyline use, 8 stakes are recommended.

Seam Sealing

⚠️ Note: The seams are not factory-sealed.
You must seal them yourself using a silicone-based seam sealer. We recommend Gear-Aid Seam Sealer or similar products compatible with silpoly fabric.

• Waterproof rating: 2000 mm
• Apply seam sealer outdoors in dry weather and allow it to cure fully before use.

Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the tent and lay it flat with the floor facing down.
2. Stake out the four corners (stakes not included).
3. Insert two poles (130 cm) through the mesh door openings into the pole pockets at the ridge and floor.
4. Stand the poles upright with the sharp ends facing down and secure the pocket openings with cord locks.
5. Close the mesh doors.
6. Use the linelocs to tension the tent into shape.
7. For added space and wind resistance, attach and tension the additional guylines.

⚠️ Important: Always cover the sharp ends of trekking poles with rubber tips or soft material.
Never insert sharp ends directly into the top of the tent, as this may damage the fabric.
