Trekking Pole A-Frame Connector Liteway

Trekking pole A-frame connector Liteway A-Frame Connector is a lightweight carbon-fibre adapter designed to connect two trekking poles into an A-frame for pitching Liteway PyraOmm shelters. The A-frame setup moves the poles away from the centre of the shelter, creating more open and usable interior space.

The A-Frame Connector is designed especially for Liteway PyraOmm pyramid shelters and is available in four lengths: 15 cm, 19 cm, 25 cm and 35 cm.

Create more usable space inside your shelter

PyraOmm shelters can be pitched with a single centre pole, but the A-Frame Connector allows two trekking poles to be used instead. The poles are positioned at an angle and connected at the top, so there is no vertical pole in the middle of the sleeping area.

This can make the interior easier to organise and provides more unobstructed space for sleeping and gear.

How the A-frame setup works

The trekking poles are positioned diagonally on opposite sides of the shelter and connected at the top using the A-Frame Connector. The pole tips are inserted into the ends of the connector tubes.

The handles remain at the bottom while the trekking pole tips point upwards into the connector.

Choose the connector length according to your trekking poles

The correct A-Frame Connector length depends on the maximum length of your trekking poles and the PyraOmm model you are using. The important measurement is the combined length of the trekking pole and connector.

• PyraOmm Solo: combined length approx. 135–140 cm
• PyraOmm Duo: combined length approx. 155–160 cm
• PyraOmm Plus: combined length approx. 180–185 cm
• PyraOmm Max: combined length approx. 220–225 cm

For example, if your PyraOmm Duo requires a combined length of approximately 155–160 cm, choose the connector length according to the maximum usable length of your trekking poles.

A longer connector is useful when your trekking poles alone cannot reach the total length required by the shelter.

Lightweight carbon-fibre construction

The A-Frame Connector is made from carbon fibre, keeping the adapter lightweight while providing the rigidity required for the A-frame structure.

The tube has an outer diameter of approximately 16 mm and an inner diameter of approximately 14 mm.
