Heat Protector is a lightweight, perforated thermal cover that significantly reduces the risk of overheating the tent material where the stove chimney passes through the opening in the flysheet, tarps, teepees and poles.

Designed for stove-based campers who want to enjoy warmth and comfort without compromising safety, the cover acts as a heat sink, absorbing some of the heat from the stove and dispersing it into the air. This prevents direct heat radiation from reaching the fabric of the tent or tarp.

It’s a simple and extremely effective way to increase thermal protection and safety in a tent, especially during extended use. The Heat Protector is perfect for both bushcraft expeditions and classic winter camping, wherever the stove’s chimney extends through the shelter’s canopy.

Better thermal insulation

When burning in a stove, the temperature of the chimney flue can reach several hundred degrees Celsius. Without proper protection, this can lead to the fabric melting, burning, or even catching fire. The Heat Protector effectively minimizes this risk.

The use of Heat Protector is particularly recommended for tents made of synthetic materials and for tarps with a chimney opening, even those made of technical cotton (polycotton).

Better exhaust ventilation

The space between the chimney and the cover creates a ventilation channel that improves natural air circulation around the pipe. This not only reduces fabric heating but also helps more effectively remove harmful gases, such as carbon monoxide (CO), that can occur when wood is not burned perfectly.

The open design of the cover and its perforation support the chimney ventilation process, which is particularly important when burning in a tent for a long time or in conditions of limited ventilation.

Use – simple and safe

The cover is mounted directly onto the chimney pipe, by placing it over the selected section of the pipe (both segmented and rolled) where the chimney passes through the material.
The Heat Protector is equipped with six set screws – three at the top and three at the bottom – that allow the cover to be gently and securely tightened around the chimney.

Thanks to the adjustable pressure, the cover fits pipes with a diameter of 4 to 8 cm.

Once you’ve positioned it in the desired location, simply tighten the screws with your fingers or a screwdriver – and you’re done. The radiator will stay securely in place even during strong winds or when the chimney is moved.
