Hammock ridgeline SNEKA Lesovik

Separately sold Sneka is a cord that connects the ends of a hammock. It makes hanging the hammock easier by allowing adjustment of its tension to achieve optimal lying comfort.

The key to comfortable rest and overnight sleeping in a hammock is hanging it loosely enough to allow for the Brazilian-style diagonal sleeping position. Hanging a loose hammock usually requires adjusting the suspension each time. With the SNEKA Ridgeline, adjustment is almost unnecessary – the correct amount of slack is set once, and the hammock maintains the same shape every time it’s hung.

We made the SNEKA Ridgeline from impregnated Dyneema cord, which is extremely lightweight and highly durable (660 daN), using a braiding technique commonly used in sailing and arboriculture. A bead threaded onto the ridgeline prevents excessive shortening and damage.

While camping, the ridgeline also works great as a clothesline, for attaching handy gear, or hanging a flashlight.

Included with the SNEKA Ridgeline is an illustrated instruction manual, designed to be accessible for people with color blindness.
