Poncho Tarp MC DD Hammocks

As the name suggests, the DD Poncho Tarp MC is a small tarp and rain poncho combined into one product. It is made from the same material as DD’s traditional tarps. The waterproof rating of the DD camo Poncho Tarp is 3000 mm. The poncho features a generously sized hood that can be adjusted with a drawstring.

The poncho measures 2.5 m x 1.4 m, providing good coverage for the upper body, arms, and legs. Thanks to the longer back panel, a backpack can also fit under the tarp. There are snap buttons along the sides to close both sides.

Using as a Tarp

The poncho also functions as a tarp. It has 8 attachment loops along the edges, allowing you to create various shelters. The DD Camo Poncho Tarp is ideal as a small day shelter. The camo poncho tarp works excellently as a quick and lightweight bivy cover, providing ample protection for one person and their gear.

Open the snap buttons of the Poncho Tarp. Close the hood opening tightly with the long drawstring. Set up the tarp traditionally over a ridgeline or use trekking poles to erect the shelter. Use the loops along the edges of the tarp for securing.

User Height

We recommend that the user of the DD Poncho Tarp MC be at least 162 cm tall to prevent the longer back panel from catching on anything or dragging on the ground.

Care Instructions

Avoid folding the DD Poncho MC Tarp in the same way too often. Change the folds after 10 uses to maintain the material’s strength. Store the tarp in a cool, dry, and dark place. Always ensure that all your gear, including any attachment cords, are completely dry before storage. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures: above +40°C and below -15°C. Keep gear at least 2 meters away from flames. Do not machine wash the poncho tarp; clean it gently by hand with lukewarm water. Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can weaken the material. UV damage is not covered by the warranty.
