DD SuperLight Hammock

The DD SuperLight Hammock is a lightweight camping hammock designed for backpacking, bikepacking, travel and relaxing at camp. Weighing just 350 g (excluding DD Tree Huggers), it is easy to pack and carry wherever you go.

With a packed size of only 19 × 11 × 8 cm, it fits easily into a backpack, bike bag or travel luggage.

A lightweight camping hammock without unnecessary features

The DD SuperLight Hammock uses a breathable single-layer design. It has no integrated mosquito net, waterproof base or double-layer construction. This keeps the overall weight low and allows it to pack down very small.

Because it is a single-layer hammock, there is no sleeve for a sleeping pad. If you use a sleeping pad, it is placed inside the hammock underneath you.

When sleeping in a hammock, the insulation beneath your body is compressed and loses much of its insulating performance. In cooler conditions, additional bottom insulation is recommended. This can be a sleeping pad, an underquilt or another insulation system designed for hammock camping.

Ready to hang

The hammock comes pre-fitted with the DD Complete Whoopie Suspension System. The package includes two DD Whoopie Slings, two carabiners and two DD Tree Huggers.

The Whoopie Suspension System allows quick length adjustment without tying complex knots. The tree huggers spread the load over a wider area, helping to reduce damage to tree bark.

For the most comfortable lay, the hammock should be hung at approximately a 30-degree angle. Hanging it too tightly increases the load on the suspension and can reduce sleeping comfort. Lying diagonally across the hammock creates a flatter and more comfortable sleeping position.

Mosquito protection when needed

The DD SuperLight Hammock does not include an integrated mosquito net. This keeps the weight low, but insect protection must be added separately if required.

In northern summers, mosquitoes and biting midges can make overnight use uncomfortable. If you camp during bug season, a separate bug net or a hammock with an integrated mosquito net is often the more practical choice.
