Titanium alcohol stove TOAKS STV-01 is an extremely lightweight and compact stove for hiking, backpacking and ultralight camp kitchens. Weighing only 20 g, it is a simple and lightweight cooking option for hikers who want to keep their stove system as minimal as possible.

The TOAKS Titanium Siphon Alcohol Stove is made from uncoated titanium. The stove has a capacity of 80 ml and measures only Ø53 × 40 mm, so it takes up very little space in a backpack.

Titanium alcohol stove for ultralight backpacking

The STV-01 uses a double-wall construction that creates a siphon effect, vaporising the fuel and producing flames through the openings around the upper edge of the stove.

There are no pumps, valves or other moving parts, making the stove simple, compact and easy to use as part of a lightweight camping kitchen.

Fuel and consumption

TOAKS recommends denatured alcohol for clean and efficient burning.

In the manufacturer’s test, 30 ml of alcohol burns for approximately 11 minutes 30 seconds. Performance may vary with other alcohol fuels, and some fuels may produce more soot or smoke.

When using fuels such as Marinol or Sinol, combustion may not be as clean and the flame may differ from the blue flame shown in TOAKS product demonstrations using denatured alcohol.

TOAKS publishes the following performance figures for the STV-01:

• Burn time: approximately 11 min 30 sec
• Water volume: 475 ml
• Starting water temperature: approximately 27 °C
• Boil time: approximately 5 min 30 sec

Actual boil time and fuel consumption depend on conditions such as outdoor temperature, wind, cookware, windscreen use and fuel type.

Pot stand sold separately

The stove requires a separate pot support to position cookware at the correct height above the flame. Pot stands, windscreens and cookware shown in product images are not included unless otherwise stated.
