UHMW PE Cord 1.8 mm 10 m Liteway

UHMW PE cord 1.8 mm is an extremely lightweight, strong and low-stretch cord for hiking, camping and ultralight gear setups. Liteway UHMW PE Cord is made from 100% UHMW PE fibre, a material with properties similar to Dyneema. A 10-metre length weighs only approximately 25 g.

Thanks to its low weight and minimal stretch, the cord is particularly well suited for tent and tarp guylines, hammock tarp setups and other applications where a light but dependable cord is needed.

UHMW PE cord for tents and tarps

Liteway recommends the cord for use with tents, tarps and other lightweight shelters. Its low stretch helps keep guylines tensioned and makes it a practical choice for shelters that need to maintain their shape in changing conditions.

The 1.8 mm diameter offers a good balance between very low weight and practical handling. The 10-metre length can be cut into suitable sections for tarp corners, ridgelines, tent guylines or other attachment points.

Lightweight and strong UHMW PE fibre

UHMW PE stands for ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. It is a very strong synthetic fibre with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Liteway describes the material as similar to Dyneema.

The cord has very little stretch, making it useful when a stable and consistent guyline is preferred over a more elastic cord.
