Vesuv Hotspot 40 is an ultralight alcohol stove weighing only 16 grams, designed for lightweight hiking, trekking and compact outdoor cooking systems. The carbon felt inside the burner absorbs up to 40 ml of alcohol-based liquid fuel and helps reduce fuel spillage during use.
Hotspot 40 lights easily and, according to the manufacturer, reaches full power immediately. Once the burner has been extinguished and allowed to cool, any unused fuel can be stored inside by screwing the lid back into place. This makes the burner a practical option for trips where you do not want to pour unused fuel back into a separate bottle after every use.
Carbon felt holds the fuel

The Vesuv Universal Titanium Windscreen fits pots up to 117 mm in diameter and includes an aluminium pot stand designed for the Hotspot 40 burner.
How to use the Vesuv Hotspot 40 alcohol stove
- Place the burner on a stable, level and non-flammable surface.
- Unscrew and remove the lid.
- Add no more than 40 ml of alcohol-based liquid fuel.
- Wipe away any spilled fuel and wait until all residue has evaporated.
- Light the burner from a safe distance.
- Place the pot on a separate, stable pot stand.
- Extinguish the flame with one firm blow or cover the burner with a flat, non-flammable object.
- Allow the burner to cool completely before closing the lid.
Extinguishing the burner

Do not use the burner’s screw lid to extinguish the flame. The plastic gasket inside the lid may be damaged by heat.
Once the flame is fully extinguished and the burner has cooled completely, the lid can be screwed back into place. Any unused fuel may then be stored inside the burner for the next use.
Storing fuel inside the burner
The lid may only be closed after the burner has cooled completely. According to the manufacturer, remaining fuel can be stored inside the sealed burner until the next use.
