Description
PyraOmm SoloTarp 1P – Ultralight and Versatile Shelter
The PyraOmm SoloTarp 1P is the perfect choice for backpackers who value lightweight gear, spaciousness, and weather resistance. This ultralight tarp provides over 3 square meters of coverage and withstands wind effectively. A single YKK AquaGuard zippered entrance ensures easy access and protection from moisture.
Its versatile setup options make it suitable for various terrains. The SoloTarp can be pitched using a single trekking pole placed diagonally, two poles in an A-frame configuration to maximize space, or suspended from above. A minimum of four stakes is required for setup. Stakes and poles are not included. Its compact packed size makes it easy to carry. When combined with the PyraOmm Solo Mesh, it provides an ultralight two-layer shelter.
Poles Required for Setup
The PyraOmm SoloTarp can be pitched with either one or two poles. When using one pole, it should be placed in the center of the tarp’s peak, with a minimum length of 120 cm.
For a two-pole setup, an additional accessory, the A-frame Connector (sold separately), is required. This connector joins the poles at the ridge in an A-shape, keeping them out of the sleeping area. The recommended A-frame Connector size is 15 cm.
The seams are not factory-sealed. We recommend using a silicone-based seam sealer, such as Gear Aid Seam Grip SIL, for waterproofing.
Stake Requirements
The manufacturer recommends a minimum of four stakes for setup (stakes are not included). However, we recommend using six stakes—one at each corner and one for each door. In windy conditions, additional stakes are advised to secure extra guy lines attached to the tarp’s side tie-out points.
Seam Sealing
Important: The tarp’s seams are not sealed and must be waterproofed manually. Seam sealer is not included. We recommend Gear Aid Seam Sealer for optimal protection.
