Description
Y-Stake Tent Pegs 23 cm 5 pcs BasicNature
The BasicNature Y-Stake is an aluminium tent peg designed for hard and mixed ground conditions. Its Y-profile provides better holding power than round or needle-style pegs, making it suitable for securing tents, tarps and shelters in a wide range of terrain.
Made from hardened aluminium, the peg combines low weight with good durability. At just 16 grams per peg, it is well suited for hiking, backpacking and lightweight camping setups.
The 23 cm length provides more anchoring surface than shorter pegs. This is particularly useful when the ground is hard, rocky or consists of varying soil conditions where reliable holding power is important.
A reflective pull loop makes the peg easier to locate in low light and simplifies removal from the ground. This is especially useful during autumn and winter camping when daylight hours are limited.

Our Take
Y-profile pegs are among the most versatile tent peg designs available. They offer noticeably better holding power than round wire pegs while remaining lightweight enough for backpacking and hiking use. This is why many manufacturers include Y-profile pegs as standard with trekking tents.
At 23 cm, these pegs are longer than many ultralight alternatives. The additional length improves holding power when the ground is neither completely hard nor completely soft, making them a practical all-round option for mixed terrain.
The reflective pull loop may seem like a small detail, but it becomes surprisingly useful around camp. Finding a tent peg in wet grass or low light is much easier when the pull loop reflects the beam of a headlamp.
