Lightweight, fully bug-proof inner tent for the DD SuperLight Bikepacker Tarp

The DD SuperLight Bikepacker Mesh Tent is a one-person bug-proof inner tent designed to be used with the DD SuperLight Bikepacker Tarp. Together they create a lightweight shelter system, with the tarp providing weather protection and the mesh tent keeping mosquitoes and other biting insects out.

Please note that the DD SuperLight Bikepacker Tarp is not included and is sold separately. The mesh tent shares the same pegs as the tarp. If you plan to use the mesh tent on its own, you will need an additional five pegs.

Using the DD SuperLight Bikepacker Mesh Tent

The mesh tent hangs inside the Bikepacker Tarp. Once suspended, the floor is tensioned using the adjustable straps, creating a taut and stable sleeping area. A metal stake loop at the front extends the floor space and improves access.

When used for bikepacking, the front of the tent attaches to your bicycle saddle using the supplied elastic cord. The adjustable suspension straps accommodate a wide range of saddle heights.

The mesh tent can also be used without a bicycle. Simply attach the front suspension point to a tree or trekking pole using the supplied elastic cord.

Insect Protection

The fine mesh provides protection against mosquitoes and other flying insects, while the waterproof floor prevents ground moisture from entering the sleeping area. The mesh tent itself does not provide rain protection and should be used with the DD SuperLight Bikepacker Tarp or another suitable shelter.
