Description

Black Neoprene Adhesive Neoprene Queen Wetsuit Repair Adhesive 15g Stormsure

Neoprene Queen is a black contact adhesive designed for repairing neoprene. It is made especially for wetsuits, waders, neoprene boots, gloves, and other flexible neoprene gear where ordinary glue cannot handle the constant movement of the material. Neoprene is under continuous stress during use. It stretches, compresses, gets wet, and dries repeatedly, so the repair must stay flexible without the adhesive becoming brittle, cracking, or peeling away from the edges. This is where the difference between proper contact adhesive and ordinary super glue becomes obvious. Neoprene Queen is made specifically for this kind of repair.

Ordinary Glue Does Not Work on Neoprene

Many people try to repair a wetsuit with standard household glue and quickly notice the problem: it seems to stick at first, but the first bend, cold water exposure, or repeated use causes the repair to fail. For neoprene, the adhesive must be both waterproof and flexible. If it dries too hard, the repair will not survive real use. That is why neoprene-specific contact adhesive is not an optional extra—it is the correct way to repair neoprene.

Black Adhesive Gives a Cleaner Finish

This version dries black, making repairs much less visible especially on black wetsuits, waders, and neoprene footwear. Clear adhesive works technically well, but repairs on dark neoprene often remain highly visible. The black version gives a cleaner and more finished appearance, especially on visible areas like knees, ankles, and seams. This does not change durability, but in practice many users choose the black version specifically for the better visual result.

Suitable for Small Repairs and Seam Reinforcement

Neoprene Queen works well for example on:

  • small tears
  • worn seams
  • lifting edges
  • repairs on neoprene boots and footwear
  • worn areas on waders
  • gloves and other neoprene gear
  • If needed, the adhesive can also be used together with patch material for stronger repairs.

Correct Application Determines Durability

Contact adhesive works differently from ordinary glue. The best result does not come from a thick layer, but from a thin and even application on both surfaces. When the adhesive is allowed to become slightly tacky before joining the surfaces, bonding improves significantly. Too much adhesive or joining the surfaces while the glue is still too wet weakens the final result. A good repair looks small but lasts a long time.

Instructions for Use

Clean the Repair Area

The surface must be dry, clean, and grease-free. Remove dirt, salt, and old loose adhesive before repair.

Apply a Thin Layer of Adhesive

Apply Neoprene Queen thinly to both surfaces. A thick layer reduces bonding strength.

Let the Adhesive Become Tacky

Wait a few minutes until the adhesive becomes slightly tacky and is no longer completely wet.

Press the Surfaces Firmly Together

Join the repair surfaces carefully and press them firmly together.

Allow Full Drying Time

Let the repair dry completely before use. Best results are achieved with at least 12–24 hours of drying time.

Important Note

For large tears, adhesive alone is not always enough. The strongest repair is achieved by using both adhesive and a patch or reinforcing material.

Notes

  • The repair surface must be completely dry and clean before gluing. Salt, dirt, and old loose adhesive weaken the bond more than the adhesive quality itself.
  • Repairs should be done well before use, not just before heading into the water. Full curing determines whether the repair will actually last or fail during the first use.
  • If the tear is large or the area is under constant heavy stretching, adhesive alone is often not enough—in those cases, using both a patch and adhesive creates a much stronger repair.
