Ultralight 3-person mesh tent Liteway Scout Full Mesh 3P is a lightweight insect shelter for hiking, backpacking and ultralight camping. It can be pitched on its own with a trekking pole or centre pole, or combined with the Liteway Scout Tarp 3P to create a lightweight double-wall shelter.

Scout Full Mesh 3P is designed for three people. It offers approximately 5.1 m² of floor area and a centre height of around 165 cm. The NoSeeUm mesh provides effective protection against insects and can also make the sleeping area feel slightly warmer by reducing airflow.

3-person mesh tent for lightweight camping

Scout Full Mesh 3P provides insect protection around the entire sleeping area without the weight of a conventional framed inner tent. It works especially well underneath a tarp or pyramid-style outer shelter, but can also be pitched independently in suitable dry conditions.

The mesh tent has one T-shaped zipped entrance and four internal pockets for storing small items.

Two pitching options for two or three people

The floor has two separate pole pockets that allow the centre pole to be positioned differently depending on the number of occupants.

• For two people: place the trekking pole or centre pole vertically in the central position.
• For three people: the pole can be positioned at an angle to create more usable sleeping space in the centre.

Pitching without an outer shelter

At least 6 stakes are required to pitch the mesh tent on its own, with one stake at each main corner. Stakes and trekking poles are not included.

1. Spread the mesh tent on the ground in a hexagonal shape.
2. Stake out all six corners.
3. Place a trekking pole or centre pole approximately 165 cm long inside the shelter and position it in the reinforced peak pocket.
4. Adjust the guylines and line locks until the mesh tent stands evenly and under suitable tension.

Use with the Scout Tarp 3P

When Scout Full Mesh 3P is combined with the Liteway Scout Tarp 3P, the two components form a lightweight double-wall, frameless shelter for up to three people.

1. Pitch the Scout Tarp 3P first.
2. Attach the top of the mesh inner to the peak of the outer shelter using the buckle.
3. Attach the corners of the mesh tent to the corresponding attachment points of the Scout Tarp 3P.
4. Place an approximately 165 cm trekking pole or centre pole inside the shelter.
5. Adjust the attachment points until the mesh inner sits evenly inside the outer shelter.

Levitex Silpoly and NoSeeUm Mesh

The floor and solid fabric sections are made from 1.1 oz Levitex Silpoly 20D Ripstop 2000 mm. The insect mesh is lightweight Nylon NoSeeUm Mesh.

The seams of Scout Full Mesh 3P are not factory sealed. If additional water resistance is required around the floor seams, a suitable silicone-based seam sealer can be used.

Lightweight with generous interior space

Scout Full Mesh 3P weighs approximately 560 g. The total weight with guylines and stuff sack is approximately 600 g.

The combination of a large 5.1 m² floor area and low overall weight makes it a practical option for three-person ultralight shelter systems where interior space and pack weight are both important.
