Tarp Superlight – ULTRA Tarp 2 x 3 m Bushmen – New Model

The lightweight and versatile 2 × 3 m tarp is the smallest in the ULTRA series. Made from 20D ripstop silnylon with Dyneema reinforcements at attachment points. The tarp weighs only 310 g (tarp only) and offers approximately 6 m² of coverage. Its rectangular shape provides effective protection, especially for solo use. The tarp includes 16 attachment points, three of which are reinforced along the central ridge seam. The package includes guy lines, tensioners, and a compact stuff sack.

Attachment Points and Structure

The tarp has a total of 16 attachment loops, allowing versatile setup options. Three of the loops are located on the central ridge seam and are specially reinforced. The taped central seam improves waterproofing and durability.

Guy Lines and Tensioning System

Includes 6 guy lines, each 3 meters long, with sliding tensioners. The tensioners act as a safety mechanism: under excessive load, they allow the line to slip, preventing damage to the tarp. They lock during normal use but release under strong wind or accidental pulling.

⚠️ Note: If a line detaches from a hook, it can be easily reattached by lifting the flap and threading the line back in.

Safety and Handling

The ultralight structure requires careful handling. The tarp is not designed to withstand heavy loads or strong winds. Using elastic cords at attachment points is recommended, as they absorb tension and may extend the tarp’s lifespan.

Stuff Sack

A compact stuff sack is included, with three loops for attachment – two on the long side and one on the end. These allow the sack to be easily attached to a backpack or rucksack. Packing a wet tarp tightly can be challenging, so careful folding and rolling is recommended.

Ultralight tarps are significantly lighter and pack down smaller. However, their lifespan can be noticeably shortened by rough or careless use, so please handle the tarp gently and with care.

Ultralight materials do not include thick reinforcements like those found in standard tarps. For example, superlight tarps are not well-suited for diamond-style hammock setups. Ultralight products also do not withstand strong winds or sudden gusts well and may tear unexpectedly. If you choose to use other guy lines, we recommend using elastic cords at the attachment points to help soften the impact of wind.
