DD SuperLight A-Frame Tent

The DD SuperLight A-Frame Tent is a lightweight A-frame shelter designed for two people. It is pitched using two trekking poles or suitable sticks found on site, so no dedicated tent poles are required. Weighing just 730 g (excluding pegs and guylines), it is well suited to backpacking trips where keeping pack weight low is a priority.
The tent is designed to be used together with the DD SuperLight A-Frame Mesh Tent. Combined, they create a double-layer shelter with separate weather and insect protection. The mesh tent is sold separately.
The shelter can also be used on its own as a lightweight rain shelter. If you plan to camp during the Nordic summer, it’s worth noting that without the mesh tent there is no protection against mosquitoes or biting midges.
Construction
According to the manufacturer, the tent provides enough space for two people and small backpacks. Three zippered entrances allow access from different sides, and the large side door can be raised with trekking poles to create a sheltered porch or rolled away completely in good weather.
Additional guy-out points around the edges improve stability in windy conditions, while reinforced attachment points at each end are designed for trekking pole support.
Weather Protection
The 3,000 mm PU-coated fabric and taped seams provide rain protection. Roof vents improve airflow and help reduce condensation inside the shelter. As with any single-wall shelter, condensation can still occur during cool and humid conditions.
