Pyramid-shaped mesh tent for 1 person – PyraOmm Plus Half Mesh Liteway

A mesh tent that is a so-called half mosquito tent for one person. The net tent itself weighs only 280 g when you add the pegs and the packing bag, the weight is just over 40 g more. The net tent can be pitched on a walking stick, between trees or attached to a tarp or tarpaulin tent. The net tent provides good protection against insects. In addition, the net provides some insulation, so the internal temperature of the tent may rise by a few degrees.

The net tent has one zippered entrance. This model is designed for one person. The net tent has a surface area of just over 2 square metres.

The poles needed to erect the tent

The PyraOmm Plus Half Mesh can be pitched with one pole. The length of the pole must be approx. 150 cm.

Need for wedges

A minimum of 4 wedges (wedges are not included) are required for erection, one for each corner. An additional wedge can be attached to the long sides of the net tent, next to the door. The product includes 4 pcs of fixing pegs.

Please note that lures / hiking poles and wedges are not included.

When you combine the Pyraomm Plus Half Mesh mesh tent with the PyraOmm Plus Tarp, you get a really lightweight double-walled rangerless ultralight tent for 1 person.

The seams of the mesh tent are unsealed. We recommend using a silicone-based sealant to seal the seams. Gear Aid Grip+SIL (formerly known as McNett Silnet Seam Sealer) is most often recommended for sealing seams.

Pitching up

Lay the net tent on the ground and secure the corners with wedges to form a rectangle
Adjust the hiking pole to a height of about 150 cm, place the hiking pole in front of the net tent from the outside, in the middle, vertically. (You can also use a plastic carabiner to attach the net pole to the top of the tarp).
Use the tensioning buckles to adjust the net tent to stand upright.

NOTE! The sharp ends of hiking poles should always be covered with tips. Or you can put a soft cloth/equipment under the sharp end of the pole. Do not push the sharp ends of poles or poles into the top of the cover. The sharp ends of hiking poles should always be insulated to prevent the top of the PyraOmm from breaking.
