The multi-purpose Poncho tarp lightens the weight of your backpack. As the name suggests, Poncho Pyraomm is a poncho, but it is also a single-person, single-layer tent. When you combine the Poncho tarp with the Pyraom solo Mesh 1P net tent, you get a single-person, double-layer tent.

Poncho Details

With the adjustable hood and brim, you can customize the fit to suit you perfectly. The hood serves as the tent’s peak and its ventilation opening. There is an elastic band at the waist to secure the poncho around your waist. The front has a zipper to adjust ventilation. A lightweight hiker’s backpack fits under the poncho.

Seam Sealing

The seams of the Poncho tarp are not sealed. The best sealant for the seams is a silicone-based sealant. We recommend Gear Aid’s seam sealant.

The material used is Levitex 20D Ripstop Silpoly, which has a waterproof rating of 2000 mm.

Using as a Tent

• Spread the fabric on the ground and secure the corners with stakes in a rectangular shape.
• Place a trekking pole handle-up inside the tarp-tent at the peak, slightly angled, or alternatively, use two poles in an A-frame.
• Adjust the tension buckles to make the tent stand upright.

Using as a Poncho

• Put on the poncho as you would a regular sweater.
• Arrange the hems around you.
• Secure the poncho around you with the elastic band if necessary.
• Adjust the hood to fit you.
