Description
Lesovik SUL Forest Green – ultralight hammock with MONOFIL fabric
Most ultralight hammocks are built around compromise: weight is reduced by shortening the fabric or narrowing the sleeping area. The SUL SNEKA takes a different approach. The fabric still measures 300 × 145 cm, which makes this a full-size camping hammock for overnight use—not just a minimalist lounging option for daytime breaks.
At 300 cm, most users can achieve a proper diagonal lay, which is one of the most important factors for comfortable hammock sleep. The manufacturer recommends the SUL for users up to 190 cm tall. Taller users will usually sleep more comfortably in a longer model such as the Lesovik Draka, which offers more room for shoulders and foot position.
The biggest difference compared to a standard hammock is the fabric. MONOFIL is not traditional dense ripstop nylon but a highly breathable micro mesh structure that the manufacturer describes as partially transparent. In practice, this makes the hammock exceptionally airy in warm weather and helps reduce moisture build-up during hot nights. The trade-off is that the fabric offers almost no wind protection and adds no thermal insulation.
In Nordic conditions, this matters quickly. Even if the day is warm, an underquilt or other bottom insulation becomes necessary once temperatures drop at night. In a hammock, the bottom of a sleeping bag compresses under body weight and loses most of its insulating performance.
The included modified SNEKA UL suspension follows the same ultralight philosophy. Instead of traditional carabiners, the system uses lightweight aluminium pins, which significantly reduce total weight. The suspension uses 20 mm Dyneema daisy chain straps with an adjustment range of 3–300 cm. In practice, this means fast knotless setup and easier fine-tuning, even with tired or cold hands at the end of the day.
This is not the best first hammock for most users. There is no mosquito net included, and the ultralight construction is less forgiving than a heavier 70D camping hammock. The SUL SNEKA works best for someone who already knows what they need and wants to reduce weight without sacrificing full hammock dimensions.

- Users over 190 cm tall who need more sleeping length
Notes
- In this ultralight hammock, hang angle matters even more than usual. If you pitch the hammock too tight, the fabric immediately feels narrower and shoulder comfort suffers. A hang angle of around 30 degrees works best here as well.
- The MONOFIL fabric breathes exceptionally well—in practice, air moves straight through it. That is exactly what makes it so comfortable in warm weather, but it also means an underquilt becomes genuinely important once temperatures start to drop.
