Description
Loue M64 nylon Taffeta 2 person openfire shelterFinnrover
The Loue M64 Finnrover (Kemppinen) is made of lightweight but durable nylon taffeta with a silver-plated interior. The silver coloured inner surface reflects heat and light. In cold weather, it reflects the heat and light. In keeping with tradition, high-quality leather has been used to reinforce the Loues attachment points.
Weight of the M64 loue – openfire shelter
The M64 lounge is the lightest in the Finnrover collection, it weighing only 1.0 kg and is providing good protection for 2 people.
Genuinely Finnish
The Finnrover Loue is the only truly Finnish open-fire shelter. The Loue is a wedge-shaped cloth which is sewn in a circle at the front and at the back, which is either tuned to a wooden pole or stretched over the top corner of the wood with string. The hemispherical back is fixed to the ground by pegs.
The shaped loue described has been used by forest walkers for more than 80 years. The FinnRover Loue is an exact copy of the original open fire lounge developed by A.E. Järvinen and manufactured by Kullervo Kemppinen.
Key Flag and Design from Finland
FinnRover Louves carry the Avainlippu- and Desing from Finland emblems, a symbol of Finnish work and Finnish design.
